Am letzten Tag vor Maram’s Rückreise nach Deutschland wollte ich ihr noch einen Baum zeigen, der einem Oktopus ähnelt seine Wurzeln durch die Luft schlägt und seine Krone bei Flut aus dem Meerwasser herausschauen lässt. Es ist das Ende Ihrer ersten Fernreise, die sie durch den ganzen Kontinent Australien vom Top End bis nach Kangaroo Island im Süden führte.
